To be on the safe side I did a reboot and did not open any applications, only the browser with your instructions. I am not sure I quite understand how that works. You really need to sign out first then sign in using only the account you need to clear.

When you cleared captcha, are you absolutely sure that you were signed into the Gmail account that is not connecting before you opened that page? If you were signed into multiple accounts in the same browser, the Captcha page uses the primary account.

I was not able to proceed with setup until I did that.

If not, did you check to ensure that the access for less secure apps is still enabled? - yes, I did that as one of the initial setup steps.

If you are not receiving messages into Outlook, I would think that you are not connected.

Please describe exactly what you mean by "I am connected".
