Just leave out the really simple, juvenile images and don't include so many food pictures and pictures of cats/lions/tigers. I am certainly not saying that I want them to have the colors and pixel shading like that of Paint By Numbers.

I would suggest that if the Developers want to continue to make the Pixel Art series something gamers want to purchase, that they would read the comments and try to come up with more creative aspects to their games. I would suggest packaging all of those types of images into one game and label it suitable for that age group. If the image is enlarged enough and completed in sections, every numbered square is easily found. I personally do not find this to be an issue. It does highlight the squares for some numbers, and some numbers remain highlighted throughout completion of a level. Pixel Art actually forces you to find the squares, you know, play the game. Pixel Art on the other hand uses more realistic colors on those types of images.Īgain, Pixel Art does not highlight each individual square as does Paint by Numbers.

For a Pixel Art image to be clearer, it would have to be made up of 10's of thousands of pixels. Paint by Numbers uses different sizes and shapes to complete their images so they come out more clear. I will admit that they are not as clear as the Paint by Number series, but they are made of of squares, all the same size. People continue to say that Pixel Art images are sometimes blurry. As I have said in previous reviews of Pixel Art, if you are a fan of the Paint by Numbers games, you are probably not going to be a fan of Pixel Art. If I had chosen not to buy the game, I probably would have given it only a 1 or a 2 based on the first level.įingers Crossed. If they let you see the boards beyond the first level before you have to decide whether or not to buy the game, I think there would be more takers. ) heavily outlined in black! I was getting tired of those types of pictures.Īfter I got past the first set (not a promising start), things really improved. I am really glad there are no boots (or radios or holly sprigs or. There was only one butterfly, and not too many cats, dogs and flowers, though there were some of each. There were two repeat (or almost repeat) pictures, like the "Birth of Venus" in the first set, and there were several still life pictures, though not as many as in previous games. It has a lot more pretty pictures (paintings, scenery, city scapes, etc.) and fewer boring (guitar, hat, etc.) or juvenile pictures. Much better than the last few offerings This version of the game is much better than the previous couple of offerings.
